Mania works as a neurosurgeon at the University Hospital in her hometown Antwerp. She divides her time between Antwerp where she works and lives, and NY, where her partner resides.
Since lockdown, photography has become her other passion besides pediatric neurosurgery. During her free time, she strolls the streets, looking for beautiful scenes, light, and composition. Solitude and minimalism seem to be recurring themes in Manias photography. Although most of her work is in black and white, Mania very much likes color photography too and is a big Saul Leiter fan.
