Born just ten years ago, the Parisian photo collective Fragment aims to develop a common aesthetic sensibility and artistic vision across its individual and collective series. Fragment is composed of eight photographers, all coming from the tradition of street and documentary, whose work is a reaction to the world around them, a mirror raised to their contemporary environments.
Since 2015, we have been surveying with fascination and curiosity – from the narrow streets to the wide avenues, from the parks to the countryside’s, from the beaches to the mountains, from the tourist neighborhoods to the suburbs – with a ceaseless passion for people and what they can tell us about our shared moment. Urban flâneurs, we are witnesses of our era, recording reality from a subjective, artistic angle.
Sébastien Bartoli, Yannis Bautrait, Philippe Blayo, Fabio Costa, Benjamin Dupont, Thomy Keat, Kramer O’Neill, Nicolas Portnoï (photographer of picture on this page).
